Well I’m not really too happy with how this spring is shaping up. In our cove here at the marina there has been an 11 degree water temp drop since this front has passed through. Visibility is less than a foot and a half, and the three “public” fish that were bedding at the boat slips are long gone. Only plus side I can see is if your trip is later on in the month or even into April, there should be plenty of fresh fish and beds to pick from.
Yesterday there were some guys doing good on the 5/8oz Red Yo-Zuri trap and spinnerbaits. Weightless fluke bite is still on, but the numbers have dropped off. Heard of a guy having 2 10lbers and 11lber this week all in Big Tank Cove on a hollowbody swimbait on a north bank.
