12.78 caught at Lake Fork

26″ Long

Fish was caught in 32 foot on a live shad carolina rigged with a 6 foot leader in the Little Caney “area”. The beast undoubtedly pushed over 13, but had been on ice for 6 hours. Angler decided to mount due to the fish swallowing the massive 8/0 octopus hook. I didn’t snap a photo simply because the Texas Panhandle angler didn’t wish to have his face plastered on the net.

Fishing is still somewhat hit or miss with the afternoon bite being the most predictable for big fish. Zoom Trick Worms in Watermelon/Red whacky style is still the go to for the under the slot fish.
